Tolleson Private Bank Partners with Paul Quinn College for New Internship Program

Tolleson Private Bank welcomed intern Ehud Enagbare, a sophomore at Paul Quinn College. As part of a new internship program launched last fall, the Bank created a hands-on student experience in partnership with the Paul Quinn College Work Program. The program supports the mission to enhance a student’s readiness for the corporate world upon completion of his or her education. Students work between 300-400 hours per academic year to earn a Work Program Scholarship, allowing them to actively contribute to the cost of their education and gain valuable hands-on experience in a corporate environment.

“As a Business Administration Major, I was interested in this internship because I wanted to get insight into the banking world,” Ehud explained. “My experience at Tolleson has been very rewarding. Through this program, I felt like I was a part of the team the whole way through. I learned so much, but the ‘in-between’ moments connecting with my coworkers, laughing and enjoying our time together, meant so much.”

Ehud spent his time learning about bank operations including lobby services, such as cash transactions, vault balancing, and client service, as well as operational activities such as wire transfers, loan documentation, and underwriting. He also assisted with the creation of financial literacy materials for a credit-building class with Tolleson’s community partner Bonton Farms.

Q: What did you hope to learn during your time here?

A: My main goal working with Tolleson was to gain knowledge about money while learning about financial institutions at the same time, and I feel like I accomplished that.

Q: What is one thing you learned that surprised you?

A: Through clients and the lobby, I feel as though I learned how to become financially stable. I also learned that the bank is very careful with everything it does. The accountability every employee takes is what makes this bank so great, and I have witnessed great teamwork here.

Q: What are fun facts others may be surprised to learn about you?

A: I was born in my living room, and I have 10 siblings.
